EDNA - Charles 'Chuck' Martin Slavik, Jr., 73, of Edna was welcomed in The Kingdom of Heaven on Sunday, June 18, 2017. Chuck was born in Columbus, TX on Sunday, January 9, 1944 to Charles Slavik, Sr. and Emma Lichnovsky Slavik. Chuck was a wonderful athlete in high school, he was in track, and was also captain of the football team, he was class president and student council president along with being Mr. Cowboy. After he graduated from Edna High School, he continued his education. He received his BA in accounting from The University of Texas at Austin and his Doctoral of Jurisprudence from The University of Texas at Austin Law School. Chuck lived with his second family for many years. he was loved dearly by all of them! Chuck is preceded in death by his parents; Charles M. Slavik, Sr. and Emma Lichnovsky Slavik, his Aunts; Gladys Collins and Isabel Martin and his Uncle William 'Bill' Lichnovsky. A memorial Service for Chuck will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017 beginning at 12:noon until 6:pm at 41 Private Road 1231 Edna, TX 77957.
