M. Brass, 68, one of the largest operators in the cattle and ranching industry in central Nebraska, and a member of the Federal Reserve Board of Kansas City, died Saturday morning while enroute to Fort Worth, Texas, where he intended making a purchase of a large drove of cattle. The body was removed to Grand Island where funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, Rev. Glen L. Rice of the First Presbyterian church, officiating. Hie lifelong friend, R. R. Horth, also mad a short address in which he gave a short eulogy to a departed friend with whom he had had pleasant business and social relations. Mr. Brass made his home with Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Vieregg, 1016 West Division, his wife having passed away in 1918. Mrs. Vieregg is the only child. He is also survived by three grandchildren, five brothers and two sisters.
