Bio
Heaven has another angel with the passing of Wilma E. (Walla) Banecks. She was born August 6, 1925 in Bee, Nebraska. She passed June 4, 2017 at home in Lafayette. Wilma was the loving mother of 9 children, 2 maternal grandchildren, and many others. She was a homemaker, and she worked in property management. She was also a VFW Auxiliary member. Wilma was a long time resident of Lafayette at the property that the family developed and still operates. Preceding her in death were her husband Charles, daughter Linda Cullen, son Mark. Wilma is survived by children: Ronald & Mary, Charles Jr. & Patty, David & Leota, Paul & Sheryl, Chris & Sandy, Patty, Catherine and James. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She loved flowers, hot air balloons, and dancing. She is immortalized by her love for her family, and Banecks Family Park. Services will be held on Saturday, June 10, at 10:00 a.m., at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Lafayette, with burial at Green Mountain Cemetery in Boulder to follow. www.darrellhowemortuary.com Published in Longmont Times-Call on June 6, 2017
