published March 21, 1985 - Loup City paper. Alvina Anna Teichmeier died Sunday, March 16, 1985, [sic - March 16 was Saturday - so unsure if she died March 17 or 16. She was found dead when she did not show up for church Sunday morning] at her home in Loup City at the age of 73 years, 3 months, and 6 days. Memorial services were held Wednesday March 20, 1985, at 2 p.m at United Methodist Church in Loup City with Rev. Sharee Kelly officiating. Music was provided by Tom Youngquist singing “Beautiful House.” The church choir sang “No One Understands Like Jesus” and “Thy Will Be Done” and the congregation sang “In the Garden.” Wilma Cook was the accompanist. There was no visitation. Alvina donated her body to science. Alvina was born Dec. 10, 1911, on a farm near Boelus to Charles and Anna Berck Kruse. She grew up and attended country school and was graduated from Boelus High Schol in 1925. On Dec. 10, 1932, she married Hugo Teichmeier at Grand Island. They farmed northwest of Boelus for many years. In 1941 they moved south of Loup City to the Wiggle Creek community and continued farming until 1964. They moved to town where she had served as the only administrator ever at Westside Park. Hugo died in June of 1982. She was a member of the Peaceful Valley Extension Club, the Loup City Saddle Club, and the United Methodist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Loren (Carolyn) Heil; two sons, David and Earl, both of Loup City; three sisters, Luella Fredricksen of Santa Rosa, Calif., Viola Hansen of Huntington Beach, Calif. and Mrs Charles (Helen Adams of Charles City, Ia.; seven grandchuldren and other relatives. She was preceeded in death by her husband; two brothers, Harold and Baldwin Kruse, a sister Esther Weiss; and a grandson, Robert Teichmeier. Memorial preference is of the donor’s choice. Loup City Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
