Carolyn A. Heil, 81 of Loup City, NE died Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the Kearney Regional Medical Center in Kearney, NE. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 8, 2017 at the Loup City Community Building in Loup City with Reverend Douglas DeNeui officiating. Burial will be held at the Austin Cemetery south of Loup City. Higgins Funeral Home in Loup City is in charge of the arrangements. Carolyn A. Teichmeier was born May 17, 1935 at Rockville, NE to Hugh H. and Alvina A. (Kruse) Teichmeier. She was the oldest of three children. Her family later moved to the Wiggle Creek area. Carolyn attended grade school at Wiggle Creek and graduated from Loup City High School in 1952. Carolyn married her high school sweetheart, Loren L. Heil on December 2, 1956 in Loup City, NE. Loren and Carolyn operated a farm and ranching operation south of Loup City. Carolyn, besides being a farm wife worked outside the home in the Sherman County Courthouse in a variety of roles, her final role as the Sherman County Associate County Judge/Clerk Magistrate. Carolyn enjoyed travel, yard work, and spending time with family and friends. Carolyn had a great love for her Lord, Jesus Christ and always sought out means to serve the Lord and share her passion for Jesus with others. After the death of her husband, Carolyn began writing a weekly newspaper column in the Sherman County Times (Country Gleanings) where she shared stories of farm life and inspirational Christian messages. Carolyn volunteered her time at County Election Board, Bloodmobile, and an occasional stint as a County Court Bailiff. She also played an active role in the operation of her farm/ranch. Survivors include her daughter, Pam (Terry) Huddle of Hemingford, NE; son, Neal (Rita) Heil of Lincoln, NE; grandchildren, Tyler, Austin, and Randy Huddle and Bailey and Morgan Heil; brother, Earl (Becci) Teichmeier; sisters-in-law, Norma Classen, Arlie Jasnoch and Shirley Teichmeier and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hugo and Alvina Teichmeier; husband, Loren Heil; brother, David Teichmeier; brothers-in-law, Jerry Classen and Rich Jasnoch and sister-in-law, Leona Bydalek.
