Bio
Cynthia was the daughter of James W. and Elizabeth Pettit Bevill. Cynthia married Richard Tallant on 12 Nov 1879 in Welch, Montgomery County, Arkansas. Their children were James William, Thomas Jefferson, Louis Leroy, John Edmond, Ida Emily Gallaway, Arthur Bunyon, Alexander Buel, Fredona Lela Bell, and Losson Leonard. Cynthia also helped raise the children from her husbands first marriage to Louisa Childers Hall. Martha Ann, Robert E. Lee, Richard Stocton, and Frances Matilda. Cynthia Bevill Tallant and Louisa Childers Tallant rests beside their husband Richard Tallant at Bethel Cemetery, but their graves are unmarked in this picture. Richards Civil War Marker is now there.
