Bio
Chris Matroni, 86, of Milton, FL went home to be with the Lord on May 31, 2017. Chris was born February 19, 1931 in Robertsdale, AL, daughter of the late Lena and Guilford Archer. She united in marriage to Robert William Matroni and they were married some 40 years before his passing in June of 1995. Chris was a member of the Joy Bible Baptist Church in Milton. Left to cherish Chris's memory are her four children, Cathy Howton (Tommy), Robert Gary Matroni (Susan), Larry Matroni and Patricia Lollie (Terry). She is survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and three brothers, Lowell Archer (Jean), Ray Archer (Kay) and Billy Archer (Francis). Chris was preceded in death by two sisters, Eunice Graham and Myrtle Burkette. Visitation for the family will be from 12:30 to 1pm and visitation for extended family and friends will be from 1 to 2 pm on Saturday, June 3, 2017 with services at 2 pm at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Pensacola Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to Covenant Hospice for all the loving care given to Chris. The family would also request that anyone attending the visitation or funeral services to not wear black as it was Chris's wish that this be done. It was Chris's wishes that this be a celebration of her homecoming with the Lord and not a mourning of her death.
