Bio
Sister Dolorosa Kremlacek was known as Gertrude Kremlacek prior to joining the Notre Dame Sisters. Gertrude was born to Vaclav and Mary Kremlacek on May 14, 1924 in Wahoo, Nebraska. Sister Dolorosa completed a masters degree in education and Creighton University. She also attended the college of Saint Mary's, Duchesne College, and Notre Dame University. Her educational ministries have taken her to St. Wescenlaus Schools in Dodge and Wahoo, Saint Adalbert's in Omaha, St. Joseph's in Chelsea Iowa, Assumption High School in Dwight Nebraska, Newman high school in Wahoo, Nebraska, and Notre Dame Academy in Omaha Nebraska. In addition to her teaching ministries, Sister served as a moderator for the Friends of the Notre Dame, alumnae Moderator and concillor for the Administrative Council of the Omaha Province. Sister Kremlacek trained as a nurses aide. She worked at Saunders County Care Center in Wahoo as activities director, the Department of Social Services as a social services worker and at Saint Joseph's Assisted Living Facility in West Point, Nebraska. She was a home companion with the Visiting Nurses Association and did hospice care.
