Bio

Adolph Wesley Honza, 89, passed away on Monday, May 29, 2017, in his home surrounded by his family. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, May 31, 2017, in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis with Rosary at 7 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, June 1, 2017, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church of Ennis with Father John Dick as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Adolph was born in Bardwell, Texas, to the late Joseph and Anastacia Horak Honza. In 1950, he joined the United States Army and served as PFC until 1952. He was a member of Knights’ of Columbus and KJT. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Jodie Honza and Leo Honza; and sisters, Mary Honza Patak and Rosa Honza. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Lucy Juricek Grier Honza; daughters, Debbie Grier Smith and her husband, Mike, and Vickie Grier Kuhn and her husband, Glenn; sons, Steven Grier and Linda Catalanotto, and Jon Paul Honza and his wife, Doris; grandchildren: Jennifer Smith Wilton and her husband, J.R., Aaron Grier, Bryan Honza, Adam Grier, Kevin Honza, Brittney Honza, Bonnie Reed Johnson, Lauren Honza, and Sarah Kuhn; four great-grandchildren: brothers: Lawrence Honza and Jerry Honza; sisters, Adell Honza and Sister Mary Ann Honza; other relatives and many friends.
