Bio
Nadine B. (Walla) Ristau was born to her loving parents James W. and Mary (Beranek) Walla on Friday April 3, 1925 at North Bend, Dodge County Nebraska. My research found no information on Nadine's childhood or elementary schooling. Nadine was a 1942 graduate of North Bend High. Nadine was united in marriage to Harold Ristau on Saturday March 4, 1944, they were blessed over the years of marriage with two daughters and two sons. Nadine and Harold during their sixty years of marriage lived in Franklin, Johnson County Indiana, Tacoma, Pierce County Washington, plus Fremont, Dodge County, North Bend, Dodge County, and Omaha, Douglas County Nebraska. Nadine enjoyed her hobbies which included gardening, baking and decorating cakes for special occasions. Nadine was very active in the Eagles Auxiliary, Eastern Star, Goldenrod Garden Club, PEO, and for sixteen years a Red Cross Volunteer. Sadly Nadine passed on Thursday May 25, 2017 at the Bickford Senior Living at Omaha at the age of 92 years, 1 month, 22 days which does not include her last day, she lived a total of 33,655 days. Nadine's visitation was held Thursday June 1, 2017 from 5p to 8p at the Moser Memorial Chapel at Fremont, then was held one hour prior to her funeral service at the Presbyterian Church at Fremont on Friday June 2, 2017 at 11a with the Rev. John Ashley officiating. Interment was in the Memorial Cemetery Fremont Nebraska. Nadine's information was provided from researching many resources and my memory. This biography was created as an honor to Nadine by a classmate of her daughter Loren R. I believe all lives matter, even the lives of those who have passed.
