Copied with permission: Shawnee News-Star: Feburary 13, 2007: Former Shawnee resident Bobby Ray Hardin, currently of Van Alstyne, Texas, passed away Sunday, Feb. 11, at Hilltop Haven in Gunter, Texas, at the age of 76. Mr. Hardin was born on Oct. 26, 1930, in Childress, Texas, the son of Claude and Bertha (Campsey) Hardin. Bobby married Doris McGee on July 7, 1951, in Hereford, Texas. Bobby worked in Hereford for Coca-Cola as warehouse manager and later was the co-owner of Rainbow Carpet Dyeing and Cleaning in Hereford before moving to Shawnee. He was a Shawnee resident from 1982 until 2005. Preceding him in death was his loving wife of 55 years, Doris Hardin. Survivors include four children and spouses, Alan and Sheila Hardin of Prosper, Texas, Tony Hardin of Idabel, Becky and John Jennings of Van Alstyne, Texas, and Lynette and Dick Bohuslavicky of Shawnee; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Ed Hardin of Amarillo, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews, other family and friends. Service will be 2 p.m. today at Resthaven Memorial Park Chapel in Shawnee with the Rev. Wendell Williams officating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Family visitation will be held one hour prior to service time. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Bobby Hardin, Thad Jennings, Ty Kuper, Trevor Hardin, Michael Myers, Beau Bohuslavicky and great-grandson, Taylor Hardin. Arrangements are under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home, 604 West Main, Denison, Texas.
