Betty Ruth Elzner November 6, 1928 - May 18, 2017 Betty Ruth Walker Elzner was born to Prince & Idelia Walker on November 6, 1928 in Kaufman County. She lived her entire life in the Rand community and in Kaufman. She will be remembered for always putting her family first and loved good times with family & friends. She was always able to provide a word of comfort or an “ old saying” many from her mother, that would make you feel better or cause you to laugh. She was employed at Kaufman Courthouse in the County Clerks office and the ASC office for a number of years, and later worked with her husband Joe in the family business “The Floor Store” originally in Terrell for twenty eight years. Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years Joe Elzner, her parents Prince and Idelia Walker and her brothers, James ( Tammy) Finas Walker, Prince Walker Jr, Robby (Curley) Walker and Bobby Walker.She is survived by her sons Steven Wayne Elzner and wife Dianna Elzner, and Paul Tracy Elzner and wife Terri Elzner both of Kaufman: Grandchildren , Traci Elzner Kristinek and husband Thomas Kristinek of Little River , Lauren Elzner Smith and husband Shane Smith of Austin Texas, Logan Elzner of Austin, Katharine Elzner of Kaufman and 3 great-grand children: Clay Johnson, Kylee Johnson, and Micah Kristinek . She had many special people in her life including nieces, nephews, cousins, family, friends and customers that will remember her for her love, genorosity, and laughter.
