Bio

Rosie A. Kruml, 90, of Sargent passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2017, at Broken Bow Care and Rehabilitation Center. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 11, 2017, at the Ord Memorial Chapel. Pastor Doug Saner will officiate. Burial will be in the National Bohemian Cemetery west of Ord. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Ord Memorial Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the Sargent Fire Department or the American Heart Association. Ord Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Rosie Ann was born April 28, 1927, on the family farm in the Eureka Township of Valley County, Nebraska to Joseph J. and Anna (Janicek) Bruha. She received her education at Konenensky Country School. On July 2, 1951, Rosie was united in marriage to James Kruml. The couple made their home on the farm in Custer County. They farmed until the 1970’s when their son’s took over the farming. They continued to make their home on the farm. James passed away on March 26, 2014. Rosie enjoyed gardening and was very involved with the cattle on the farm. She enjoyed polka and waltz music and dancing. Family was very important to Rosie, she looked forward to the Bruha Family Reunions and spending time with all of her family. Survivors include three sons and a daughter-in-law, Edward, Laddie and Patty, and Alvin all of Sargent; a daughter and son-in-law, Evelyn and Lavern Oseka of Loup City; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Nevrivy of Arcadia. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James; one brother, Joe F. Bruha; and a sister, Helen Chalupa.
