James Kruml, 89, of Sargent passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at the Community Memorial Health Center in Burwell. Mr. Kruml was cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2014, at the National Hall west of Ord. Ord Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements. James was born January 18, 1925, to James and Josephine (Minar) Kruml in Custer County, Nebraska. He was raised on the family farm and received his education in Custer County. James lived with his father on the farm where he worked until he began his own farming and ranching operation in the 1940's. On July 2, 1951, James was united in marriage to Rosie Bruha. The couple made their home on the farm in Custer County. James farmed until the 1970's when his son's took over the farming. After retirement he continued to make his home on the farm. He enjoyed the farm work and checking on the cattle and crops. Survivors include his wife, Rosie of Sargent; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Edward, Laddie and Patty, and Alvin all of Sargent; a daughter and son-in-law, Evelyn and Lavern Oseka of Loup City; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, George Kruml and a sister, Martha Kruml.
