ARLINGTON - Luther W. Young, 79, a sheet metal fabricator and a retired AL Gas supervisor, died Sunday, March 22, 1998, in Arlington. Luther W. Young was born Jan. 19, 1919, in Handley. He worked for the Civilian Conservation Corps and Lone Star Boats. He was preceded in death by his son, Ronald Dan Young; brothers, Clifford and C.E. Young; and sister, Vera McConnell. Survivors: Wife of 57 years, Helen Young of Arlington; son, Bobby Don Young and his wife, Beverly, of Bunker Hill, W.Va.; daughter, Dana Reeves and her husband, Harry, of Reno, Nev.; brother, Charlie Young; sister, Winnie Scheppler; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
