Bio
Neill Gibson, age 70, of Woodway, went to be with his Lord Jesus Christ on May 9, 2017 at his home. Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m., Friday, May 12, at Oakwood Cemetery with the Rev. Roy Marshall officiating. Visitation with the family will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 11, at Grace Gardens Funeral Home. Neill was born December 4, 1946 in Atascadero, California to Evelyn and Woodrow Gibson. Neill was raised in Waco. He met the love of his life, Lana, when he was 15 and she was 14. They married in 1965 and spent 52 years together. He loved his family, traveling and riding his Harley. He attended many motorcycle rallies all over the United States. Neill was preceeded in death by his parents; surrogate parents-in-law, "Rufus" and Doris Thrasher; and two siblings. He worked as a flooring installer until starting Gibson's Interiors in his garage in 1978. The business grew to its current location in Hewitt, Texas. Neill is survived by his wife of 52 years, Lana; daughters and sons-in-law, Leah and Robert Aguilar and Lacie and Nathan Alford; grandchildren, Kali Gwin and husband, Chris, Logan Hamilton, Chloe Hamilton, Jackson Alford, and Kaitlyn Alford. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital. Obituary published online 11 May 2017 by Waco Tribune Herald, Waco, Texas.
