Carol P. (Peterson) McPhillips, 79, died Thursday, April 21, 2005 in her Bethlehem residence. She was born September 27, 1925 in Boise, Idaho, the daughter of the late Carl G. and Emily C. (Ellstrom) Peterson. Carol graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Degree in Business Psychology. She was a Homemaker for many years while raising her family and then began a business as an Antiques Dealer specializing in Quilts. Carol was an active volunteer for the American Cancer Society Boutique at the Rink, the Allentown Art Museum, Habitat for Humanity, New Bethany Ministries, the American Association of University Women Book Sale, and Burnside Plantation. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: William J. McPhillips on December 02, 2000. Carol is survived by her daughters: Sheela M (Thomas F.) Donchez of Bethlehem, Kate C. McPhillips, wife of Mark Perlman of Sarasota, Florida; her sons: William J. (Susan) McPhillips of Houston, Texas and Robert C. (Valyrie) McPhillips of South Orange, Florida; her nine grandchildren; and, her sister: Olive Smith of Boise, Idaho. A Visitation will be held from 06:00 - 09:00 PM on Monday, April 25, 2005 in Connell Funeral Home, Incorporated, 245 E. Broad Street, Bethlehem. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, April 26, 2005 in St. Annes Catholic Church, 450 Washington Avenue, Bethlehem.
