Died at age 81. Parents: Harley Marvin Buckner. Zuma Era Neil Owens. Harley and Zuma married December 30, 1934 in Blount, Alabama. OBITUARY: Jean Buckner Nelson, age 81, of Birmingham, AL passed away on April 29, 2017. She retired from Compass Bank. She loved reading, working puzzles and spending time with her family. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Zuma & Harley Buckner; and sister, Geraldine Tucker. She is survived by her children, 3 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; 2 brothers, 2 sisters, and a host of nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Wednesday May 3, 2017 from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at Ridout's Trussville Chapel. Graveside service will be Wednesday May 3, 3017 at 2:30 PM at Forest Crest Cemetery.
