Hastings resident, Patricia J. Dickerson, 84, passed away Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, Nebraska. Rosary will be Tuesday, April 25, 2017; 7:00 P.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, April 26, 2017; 10:00 A.M. at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church, Hastings with Rev. Caleb LaRue officiating. Burial will in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Memorials may be given to St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church or Start Over Rover. Patricia was born July 1, 1932 in Lawrence, Nebraska to Bernard & Philomena (Schutte) Kimmanau. She graduated from St. Cecilia Catholic School in 1949. Patricia married Earl Dickerson on June 25, 1951 at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church; he preceded her in death on June 13, 2004. She was employed by Conway, Connelly & Pauley as a legal assistant and office manager from 1961 until 1988, and was an office manager for Mary Lanning Hospital Trust and McKinley & Lanning from 1988 until her retirement. Patricia was a member of St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church, St. Cecilia’s Adult Choir from 1947 until 2008, Women’s Barbershop Chorus, Prairieland Chapter of Sweet Adelines for 19 years, St. Cecilia’s Altar Society, past President and Supreme Chaplain for BPO DOES #112, and Eagles Auxiliary. She was an avid golfer and had two hole-in-ones over her career. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl Dickerson; brothers, Phillip Kimmanau and Thomas Kimmanau; sisters, Eleanor Kokes, Ione Richards, Dorothy Bentzinger, and LaVeta Golden.
