Kathryn Wood Grimmett Born in Cove, Arkansas on Nov. 4, 1928 Departed on Jan. 30, 2007 and resided in Hillsboro, TX. Visitation: Friday Feb. 2, 2007 Graveside Services: Saturday Feb. 3, 2007 Hillcrest Garden of Memory Kathryn Grimmett, 78, of Hillsboro died Tuesday, January 30, 3007, at Town Hall Estates Nursing Home in Hillsboro. Kathryn was born November 4, 1928 in Cove, Arkansas the daughter of Albert and Willie Maude (Wohlwend) Cochran. She grew up in Whitney and graduated from Whitney High School. On March 15, 1947 she married Billy Wood and he preceded her in death on October 26, 1972. She later married Hall "Buck" Grimmett in 1973 and he preceded in death in 1998. For several years she worked as a dispatcher and meter maid for the Hillsboro Police Department. She was of the Methodist faith. Also preceding her in death were her parents and a granddaughter, Whitney Lee Wood. Survivors include her children, Johnny M. Wood and wife, Sharna, and Terry Wood and wife, Liskin, all of Grandview, and Sherry Wood of Waco; step-children, Sue Martin and husband, Bob, Hall Grimmett and wife, Rose, and Barry Grimmett all of Georgia; grandchildren, Carrie Flores, Hunter Wood, and Autumn Wood; and two great-granddaughters.
