Kula, 38, who passed away at 12:25 p.m. Saturday at St. Mary's hospital, where he had been a patient one week, will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday at St. Bonaventure church with Fr. Albert Limacher officiating. Burial will be in the Catholic cemetery. Mr. Kula had been in failing health the past seven years. The body is lying in state at the Gass Funeral Home from 2 p.m. today until the hour of the service. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanislaus Kula, he was born May 18, 1909, in Columbus. He attended District 3 school and was graduated from St. Bonaventure high school. He attended the Grand Island Business College for two years. On March 6, 1934, he was united in marriage to Inez Bisson at Wahoo and they have always made their home in Columbus. Mr. Kula was a member of St. Bonaventure church. He was preceded in death by his father, one brother, Michael, and one sister. He is survived by his wife; four children, DeVern, 13, Jimmy, 11, LaVonne, 9, and Lorraine, 7; his mother, Mrs. Eleanor Kula, of Columbus; two brothers, Wallace of Omaha, and Richard of Columbus, two sisters, Mrs. James LaPorte, Council Bluffs, Ia., and Eleanor of Omaha; and two half-brothers, Joseph of Platte Center, and Thomas of Columbus. ------------------ The Daily Telegram, February 10, 1948 KULA--Kula Services - Funeral services for Stanley A. Burial was in St. Bonaventure cemetery and pallbearers were Joseph Mayberger, Jack McEnerney, Paul E. Scharff, Charles Kuta, Emil Mayberger and Julius Hembd.
