ORD — Delmer Merle Conner, 78, of Burwell died April 1, 2017, at the Valley County Health Systems Hospital in Ord. There will be a celebration of life at 11 a.m. on Thursday at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Burwell, where he was a longtime member. The Rev. Jon Franson will officiate. Hitchcock Funeral Home in Burwell is in charge of arrangements. Delmer was born March 3, 1939 in Garfield County to Orville and Elsie (Mattern) Conner. Delmer married Deanna Dee Meyer on October 29, 1961 at Scotia. Delmer is survived by his wife, Dee Conner of Burwell; two daughters, Lisa (Roger) Obermier of York and Korlyn (Dave) Goff of Burwell; and two brothers, Orville (Marlene) of Fearrington, N.C., and Darrell of Ord.
