Son of Foster James and Margaret Elizabeth (Wand) James. He married Eliza J. Harreld on April 14, 1841 in Butler County, KY. They were the parents of Dr. Addison David James and eleven other children. The family moved to Fannin County, TX in 1871. Eliza died in Dec 1877 in TX. Thomas married H. C. Johnson on April 6, 1880. ------------------------- Information from Diane Addington Matherly He was a farmer and a merchant in Morgantown. The James book does some speculating on exactly WHEN the family moved to Texas....after 1860 but before 1870. He was visiting in Muhlenberg from Texas, when he was hit by a train and killed on 11 July, 1885. According to a family member, (researcher), his son, Dr. Addison D. James, sued the railroad because the engineer was said to have been inebriated.
