Bio
Mittie was the daughter of Eliza J Harreld, (1827-1878) and Thomas Melvin James, (1816-1885). She married John Thomas Penrod, (1855-1931) on 17 Oct 1882 in Muhlenberg Co, KY. One of her daughters, Mollie Goldie, (1888-1973) married Claude Threadgill. A son, Lott Melvin, (1875-1971), married Ora Virginia Evans and a daughter, Pearl L. (1883-1977) married Robert A Sims. All three of these children and their spouses have memorials on F-A-G. Three other children, Kenneth, John, and Gladys died before the age of two. There are some folk art type drawings of both Mittie and John Thomas on Ancestry.
