Bio

SPRING, Texas — Darlene Jatczak, 78, of Spring, formerly of Kearney and David City, Neb., died Sunday, March 26, 2017, at The Pines in Spring. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in David City. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Chermok Funeral Home in David City is in charge of the arrangements. Darlene was born March 29, 1938, to Frank and Julia (Weverka) Kucera in David City. She enjoyed going on walks, cooking and playing cards. Darlene especially loved spending time with her friends, children and grandchildren. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Barb and Pete Sagmiller of Spring, Mark and Kim Jatczak of Papillion, Neb., John and Heather Jatczak of Marstons Mills, Mass., Matt Jatczak of League City and Julie and Jimmy Hart of Wheat Ridge, Colo.; sisters, Sally Kozisek, Gladys Hoeft and Shirley and husband Mike Vasina; 14 grandchildren, Ashley J., Amber, Luke, Nathan, Ashley T., Jason, Kari, Ryan, Noelle, Liam, Olivia, Jake, Braden and Addy; seven great-grandchildren, Kaden, Bennet, Cole, Eliana, Chase, Channing and Diesel; and many nieces and nephews. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Raymond Kucera, Evelyn Birkel, Rosie Husak and Adeline Cemper.
