Bonk Sr., who would have been 73 that day. Mr. Bonk who resided at _711 Fourth street, died unexpectedly Monday morning at St. Mary hospital. The Rev. Armand Lubanski will officiate at the requiem Mass and at the graveside rites in St. Bonaventure cemetery. The body will lie in state at McKown Funeral Home chapel after 1 p.m. Wednesday. Rosary will be prayed there Wednesday at 7:30 p.m., by Knights of Columbus and at 8 p.m., by relatives and friends. A lifetime resident of this vicinity, Mr. Bonk was born May 1, 1896 at Duncan, the son of Frank and Agnes Eurek Bonk. He attended St. Francis academy in Columbus. On Jan. 24, 1923 he married Anna Kuta at St. Anthony Catholic church and they made their home in Columbus. He was employed by Consumers Public Power District for 44 years before his retirement. Mr. Bonk was a member of St. Anthony parish and the Knights of Columbus. Surviving are his wife; seven sons, Stanley (Charles Jr.) Raymond, John, Richard, Lawrence, Thomas and Joseph, all of Columbus; six daughters, Mrs. John (Delores) Wulff and Mrs. Mino (Evelyn) St. Lucas of Omaha, Mrs. Robert (Mary Ann) Krzycki and Mrs. Neil (Therese) McAndrews of Washington state, Mrs. Ralph (Marjorie) Czuba and Mrs. Robert J. (Barbara) Steiner of Columbus. Other survivors include 59 grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Julia Wiater and Mrs. Clara Carlson, both of Omaha. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Helen and Vera; one brother, John; and one grandchild, Richard Bonk Jr.
