"Louis James Koza, 85, of Lincoln, formerly of Bruno, Neb., passed away peacefully Friday, January 17, 2014. Loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Married Rita Matous Nov. 19, 1951. Spent 2 years in the U.S. Marines. He was a farmer for a majority of his life. He is survived by his wife, Rita Koza; daughters, Pam Makovicka, Kathy Alexander, Teri Folkers; sister, Gladys Krivanek; grandchildren, Tracy Sealock (Tim), James Makovicka (Kim), Steven Alexander (Ester), Megan Folkers, Andrew Folkers; 6 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, Ludvik and Molly Koza; sisters, Alice Sabata, Sylvia Krenk, Agnes Krenk, granddaughter, Althena; son-in-law, Gary Alexander. Visitation will be Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014, from 9 am-9 pm, with the rosary that evening at 7 pm at Butherus Maser & Love Funeral Home, 4040 A Street, Lincoln 68510. Funeral at 11 am Monday, Jan. 20, 2014, at North American Martyrs Catholic Church, 1101 Isaac Dr., Lincoln. Private burial service on Tuesday." Lincoln Star Journal, Lincoln, Nebraska.
