Elizabeth Ann (Sparks) Crick, daughter of Thomas and Martha (Loveless) Sparks, was born near Colfax, Clinton Co., Indiana. Elizabeth married John Franklin Crick on January 2, 1862 in Clinton Co., Indiana. The tombstone and undertaker record says Elizabeth died May 4, 1912, but the death certificate and obituary says Elizabeth died May 5, 1912. John and Elizabeth had 7 children: Martha Jane (Crick) Ramsey, Margaret Ann "Mike" (Crick) Isgrigg, John Thomas Crick, Nettie Mae (Crick) Loveless, Laura Belle (Crick) White, Joseph Allen Crick and Curtis Sherman Crick. Elizabeth's middle name was given as Ann on the death record of Elizabeth's daughter, Nettie (informant was Nettie's daughter, Hattie Loveless Mann).
