Bio

Grace Houston was born in South Dakota, a daughter of George Ernest Hammond 1879–1929 and Marie Ellen Coverdale 1880–1952. She had a sister Ella Marie 1901–1999. Grace married Willis Jean Dennis 1903–1977 in 1925 in Weldona, Colorado. They had a son Howard Willis 1927–2008. The family lived in Casper, Wyoming where Willis was a drug store clerk. By 1942 they were living in Kemmerer, Wyoming. They divorced. She had a second marriage to Vance Alexander Houston 1892–1973 in 1948 in Bellingham, Washington. They did not have children. They lived in Casper, Wyoming where he was a district manager and vice president of Northern Utilities Company and North Central Gas Company. Vance and Grace retired to Sun City, Arizona in 1960. Grace's survivors included her son, Howard; and sister, Ella Clark.
