SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO — Simon Stanislaus Danczak, 96, of South San Francisco, formerly of Kearney, Neb., died Sunday, March 12, 2017, in South San Francisco. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Bruno’s Church in San Bruno. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma. Garden Chapel in South San Francisco is in charge of the arrangements. He was born Jan. 27, 1921, in Kearney. Simon, the son of Joseph and Kathrine Danczak, grew up in Nebraska along with his sisters, SalleMae, Cecelia and Margaret. He loved to read, sing and play the violin. He attended Ord High School where he played in the band and was a member of 4-H. He met Evelyn Wink at a dance, and they married and moved to California where they raised their four children, Richard, Ronald, Lisa and John. He was a member of the Bakery Wagon Workers Union. He was widowed in 1977 and outlived his siblings. He leaves six grandchildren. He was a gentle and charitable man who always greeted people with a smile and sent them off with a pie. Simon Stanislaus Danczak entered peacefully into eternal rest at 96 years of age.
