In Memory of Carolina W. Stejskal February 3, 1917 ~ March 10, 2017 Carolina W. Stejskal was born in rural Seward County February 3, 1917, the fifth daughter of five born to Gregor and Margaretha (Wempen) Preisinger. She was received into the Kingdom of God through Holy Baptism at Immanuel Lutheran Church at Middle Creek of Seward, where she also attended school through the 8th grade and was confirmed on March 29, 1931. Those who remain to rejoice in her life and grieve her loss are: her niece, Janette Moorberg; nephews, Gerald (Lynn) Hilmann and Richard Petri (Jane); and cousins from the Wempen family, and many friends. Preceded in death by: parents; four sisters; and two husbands, Frank Kaspar and John Stejskal. Carolina worked for Russel Stover candies for over 19 years while living with her mother in Lincoln. Carolina married Frank Kaspar on July 2, 1972 and lived in Friend, Nebraska, for several years until Frank’s sudden passing on February 4, 1975. On August 1, 1979 Carolina married John Stejskal and lived in Lincoln. John died January 28, 1993 and Carolina remained in her home until 2015 when she moved to assisted living in Seward, Nebraska. Carolina was called out of this life into eternal life as a gift of God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ on March 10, 2017 at the age of 100. Her body will be lovingly laid to rest in God’s earth on March 14, 2017 at the National Cemetery in Prague, Nebraska, to await in peace the day of resurrection. This is the earthly record of Carolina Preisinger Stejskal. The heavenly record reads, “Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord, that they may rest from their labors.” The blood of Jesus Christ, his son, cleanses us from all sin. Funeral service on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Christ Lutheran Church, Lincoln, Nebraska. Burial at The National Cemetery in Prague, Nebraska.
