Hazel Viola (Green) Warner died peacefully at Good Samaritan Nursing home on 12/15/2016 in Lennox, SD at the age of 84. Hazel is survived by her children: Pam (Dennis) Fick, Vicki (Lee) Tigner, Lynn (Craig) Chambers, Dan (Carol) Warner, Patti (Randy) De Boer; 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, and siblings Gary (Janet), Ron (Christy), Bob (Ardell), Connie (LeRoy) Geiken, Rod (Hellen). She was preceded in death by parents Earl and Ethyl Green, husband Richard “Dick”, daughter Julie Draveland, and Baby (beloved cat). Hazel Viola (Green) Warner was born on August 20th, 1932 in Doland, South Dakota to Earl and Ethyl (Board) Green. Hazel spent the beginning years of life in Doland and in 1941 she moved with her family to Sioux Falls. She graduated from Washington Senior High School in 1950. She married Richard “Dick” Warner, the love of her life, in 1951. Hazel worked for many years as a devoted homemaker and for a short period of time she worked for Raven Industries as a seamstress, Montgomery Wards in the men’s department, Avera Hospital as a housekeeper, and home daycare. The couple shared their love with their six children. In her free time, Hazel enjoyed, word find puzzles, ceramics, classic movies, singing, and her cat, Baby. She was a long time member of Eastside Baptist Church where she sang in the choir for many years and served in the printing ministry, also helped many years in Sunday School.
