Resident of Dallas, Dallas, Texas Worked as a mechanic informant: Mrs. Joe Ripple Hit by a car while crossing the highway (death certificate) On a convict record, he was described as being 5'7" tall, 156 pounds, with brown hair, grey eyes and a ruddy complexion. It was recorded that he was a resident of Dallas, Texas, sentenced in Dallas to serve consecutive terms of 2 and 3 years for forgery, and that he had served in the Army. The 1910 census recorded Eddie Ripple living on a farm in Travis County, Texas, with Parents Vince and Amelia [Emilie] and brothers: Henry, Sam, Joe, and John. Eddie, Joe, and John were sons by a previous husband of their mother's but who were adopted by Vince. The 1940 census recorded Ed Ripple living in Dallas, Dallas, Texas, with wife Lena and daughters Mabel Ruth, 18, and Shirlene, 2. Records indicate that Mabel Ruth was born in Elgin, Bastrop, Texas, and Shirlene was born in Dallas, Texas.
