He arrived in the USA May 21, 1891, at New York, New York. He declared his intention to become an American citizen in Dec. 1908. He stated that he was a farmer then living 4 miles north of Elgin, Texas. He was described as 5'8.5" tall with brown hair, brown eyes, and a blonde complexion. (Texas, Naturalization Records, 1865-1991) Vince Ripple married Emilie Dusek in Travis County, Texas, in 1905. (Texas, Select County Marriage Index, 1837-1965) The 1910 census recorded Vince Ripple living on a farm in Travis County, Texas, with wife Amelia [Emilie] and sons: Henry, Sam, Eddie, Joe, and John. Eddie, Joe, and John were Emilie's sons by a previous husband but who were adopted by Vince. The 1920 census recorded Vince Ripple living on a farm in Travis County, Texas, with wife Emilie and children: Joseph R., John W., Henry F., Samuel V., and Agnes E. The 1930 census recorded Vinc Ripple living on a farm in Bastrop County, Texas, with wife Emilie and children: Henry, Samuel, and Agnes. The 1940 census recorded Vince Ripple living on a farm in Bastrop County, Texas, with wife Emilia and children: Henry, Samuel, and Agnes.
