JOHANNA KRESTA HILLJE — Johanna Kresta, 97, of Hillje, died Wednesday, April 19, 1995. She was born Aug. 25, 1897, in Fayette County to the late Ignac and Johanna Mikulec Horecka. She was a Member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Our Lady Queen of Peace, PBJST, and KJZT. Survivors: daughters, Addie Lee Knebel of El Campo, Hattie Pavlu of Louise and Evelyn Watz of Beaumont; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband, Edward Kresta and daughter, Sylvia Holub. Visitation: 9 a.m. Friday, Triska Funeral Home. Rosary: 7 p.m. Friday, Triska Funeral Home. Services: 9:30 a.m. Saturday, St Phillip's Catholic Church, the Rev. Joseph Koebel officiating. Burial: Holy Cross Memorial Park, Triska Funeral Home, El Campo, (409) 543-3681.
