Bio
Leona M. Miller, 78 of Grand Island died Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Golden Living Center at Park Place. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Father Marty Egging will be celebrating mass. Burial will be in the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Miller was born January 15, 1939 at Greeley, NE the daughter of Frank and Dorothy (Smollen) Kosinski. She was raised on a family farm east of Greeley before her family moved to Grand Island. Leona graduated from Grand Island Central Catholic. In 1962 she was united in marriage to John R. Miller. They made their home in Grand Island where she worked for Pacific Tools and later Goodwill Industries. Her greatest enjoyment was taking care of her family. Survivors include her daughter, Linda (Charles) Curran of Grand Island and Gary and Jeanna Miller of Prior Lake, MN; grandchildren, Samuel, Michael, Gavin, Trey and Lydia; sisters, Barbara (Larry) Bosak, Virginia Boswell; brother, Richard (Maryann) Kosinski and sister-in-law, Loraine Kosinski all of Grand Island. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Richard Miller; son, Richard Miller; her parents and brothers, Edward and Donald Kosinski.
