BURWELL — Darlene Kay (Osentowski) Freeman, 61, of Burwell lost her battle with cancer Feb. 6, 2017. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Burwell. A private inurnment will be at a later date in Cottonwood Cemetery. The Rev. John Kakkuzhiyil will officiate. Hitchcock Funeral Home in Burwell is in charge of the arrangements. Darlene was born Aug. 8, 1955, in Ord to Edward and Lillian Osentowski. She married Mark Freeman on March 25, 1989. Survivors of the immediate family include her husband, Mark Freeman of Burwell; two daughters, Paula Jones in Vietnam and Jody Jones-Skibinski and her husband, Cary Skibinski, of Lincoln; two sons, Shane Freeman of St. Louis and Chris Jones and his wife, Lisa Jones, of Lincoln; two grandchildren; two sisters, Patty and her husband, Larry Kokes, of Elyria and Debra and her husband, Brian Featherstone, of Pennsylvania; and a brother, Tom Osentowski of Ord.
