Note that Isaac Perkins is listed in the 1860 census with wife Mary and all the children listed in this memorial who were born before 1860. He is also listed in the 1870 census in Rapides Parish without his wife. There are several of his children with him in 1870 who were with him and his wife in 1860, plus four additional children born between 1860 and 1870, i.e., Willis, Jackson, and Mary. Apparently his wife Mary died some time after their youngest child, Mary, was born in 1866. There is also a census record for an Isaac Perkins (b. 1827) living alone in Rapides Parish in 1880.
