John Roy Abernathy served in the U.S. Navy. John's military enlistment date is Aug. 7, 1917 to June 19, 1919. In 1942 John was employed by the U.S. Veteran's Bureau in Hines, Illinois. John's father is Robert Abernathy who was also born in the state of Michigan.
