St. Albans Messenger ST. ALBANS/COLCHESTER - Elsie A. (Phippins) Gagnon, 87, a resident of this area for the past 11 years, passed away peacefully Monday afternoon, March 25, 2002, at Roncalli Health Center. Her loving husband was at her side. She was born in Talcville, N.Y., Jan. 19, 1915. On Aug. 2, 1969, she married Joseph A. Gagnon in Holy Cross Catholic Church in Colchester. Elsie enjoyed fishing, dancing, and sewing. She was a communicant of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Colchester and Holy Angels Catholic Church in St. Albans. In addition to her husband of over 31 years, Joseph, survivors include two sons, Charles and his wife, Mary Parmeter of Gainsvort, N.Y., and Joseph parmeter of Florida; a daughter, Barbara Mannon of Linn, Mo.; three stepsons, Joseph B. and Pam Gagnon of Waterbury Center, Dave Gagnon of Winooski, and Sam Gagnon of Georgia; a stepdaughter, Sharon and her husband Andy Warren of Tewksbury, Mass.; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Interment will be in the family lot in Holy Cross Cemtery.
