Margie Bottoms 12/26/1929 - 1/27/2017 Margie Bottoms, age 87, passed away Friday, January 27, 2017. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bellmead with Father Albert Ruiz as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in West. A visitation will begin at 6 p.m. with the rosary being recited at 7 p.m. Monday, January 30th at Bellmead Funeral Home. Margie was born December 26, 1929 in West, Texas the daughter of Oscar Lee and Wilma (Prasifka) Dennis. She married James W. Bottoms on June 4, 1949 and he preceded her in death on November 14, 2005. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters and volunteered with Meals On Wheels. She worked as a receptionist for Drs. Coleman & Sloan in Waco for twenty years, retiring in 1993. Margie loved to work in her yard and garden. She is also preceded in death by her parents; children, Judy and Stevie Bottoms; sister, Mary Ann Mayo. The family would like to thank the staff of West Rest Haven and her nurse, Cheryl Lee for their loving care of Margie.
