Douglas Sherman Nell, 88, passed away on January 24, 2017 in American Fork, Utah. Born January 5, 1929 in Murray, Utah to Sherman Rasmus and Eleanor Callaway Martell Nell. He married Joann Lamb September 25, 1954 in Elko, Nevada. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. He was a member of the LDS church and a Veteran of the Korean War. Douglas was very proud of being a long time resident of American Fork. He is loved by his wife, 1 daughter and 6 sons: Laura Ann (Lawrence) Maxwell, Steven (Elveyn) Baugh, Richard Douglas (Christine) Nell, Jack Bryan (Gayle) Nell, James Russell (Sandra) Nell, Adam Phillip Nell, Mark Callaway Nell and 17 Grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren, two brothers Blaine M. Nell and Robert M. Nell. Preceded in death by his son Mark and his sister Janice. Funeral services will be held Monday January 30, 2017
