Jimmy Harold Norton, 77, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2017 in Chickasha. Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 AM, January 25, 2017 at the Vimy Ridge Baptist Church, with Pastor David Hale officiating. All arrangements have been entrusted to the care Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Rush Springs Jim was born Thursday, September 21, 1939 to Harold Lee and Anne Lucille (Pelley) Norton. He attended Rush Springs High School. Jim was a farmer for over 30 years. He had also worked for Cline Industries. In 1964 he married Billie Jo Petty. They later divorced, he later married Elizabeth (Liz) Dunegan on October 30, 1985 in Wichita Falls, TX. The couple made their home in the Rush Springs area. He loved his family and grandkids. He was proud of his hometown and enjoyed gardening and tinkering with wood. His hobbies included J.C.'s, Riding Club, All Sports Association, Lions, Mighty Mite football, he was the voice of the Rush Springs Redskins, MC for the Watermelon Festival. Jim was also a member of the Retail Merchant and started the first Founders Day in Rush Springs. He was a member of the Southern Baptist Church of Rush Springs. He was preceded in death by his parents.
