Marcella G. Labenz, 70, of Saint Edward, NE, passed away, Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Grand Island, NE. Services are pending with Miller-Levander Funeral Home in Saint Edward, NE. Marcella Gale Labenz, the daughter of Melvin and Vallie (Davis) Myers, was born on April 25, 1946 in Grand Island, NE. Marcella attended various elementary schools across the country. Marcella worked at an assembly plant in Columbus, NE before her marriage. On November 5, 1976, she was united in marriage to Francis Labenz. Following their marriage, the couple lived in Saint Edward, NE where Marcella helped raise their children Alan and Matthew. Marcella enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter Rose, putting together picture puzzles, and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Marcella is survived by her sons: Alan Labenz of Saint Edward, NE, and Matthew (Dawn) Labenz of Newman Grove, NE; granddaughter: Rose of Newman Grove, NE; brother: Corey (Nancy) Myers of Humphrey, NE; sister: Trudy Myers of Omaha, NE; three nephews; one niece; as well as other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Francis; and one sister: Linda Myers.
