Nance County Journal - September 5, 1963 Former Resident Dies Linda Myers, 16, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Myers of Limon, Colorado, died in a Denver hospital on August 30 following surgery in which a kidney was transplanted to her from her father in a vain attempt to save the girls life. The Myers family are former Belgrade residents. Linda attended the Belgrade school until six years ago when the family moved from this area. She is survived by her parents; two sisters; a brother; and her grandmother, Mrs. Eli LaFlamme of Belgrade. Funeral and burial services were held Tuesday of this week at Limon.
