Arnold "Arnie" A. Grudzinski, 92 of Loup City, NE died Monday, January 09, 2017 at his home in Loup City. Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 13, 2017 at St. Josaphat's Catholic Church in Loup City with Father Tom Ryan officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Francis Catholic Cemetery in Ashton, NE. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, January 12 at St. Josaphat's Catholic Church with a Vigil Service/Knights of Columbus Rosary to be held at 6:00 p.m. at the church. Arnold A. Grudzinski was born October 23, 1924 at the Oak Creek Township near Ashton, Nebraska to Peter and Teckla (Woitaszewski) Grudzinski. He attended country school till the 8th grade at Rural District 56 in Oak Creek Township, Sherman County. He farmed six miles north of Ashton and lived in Ashton and Loup City is entire life. He is a member of St. Josaphat's Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus. Arnie was very active in the church. He was an usher for 37 years. He also encouraged young people to get involved with the church and enjoyed praying the rosary. He loved farming and raising cattle. He enjoyed seeing the wild turkeys and pheasants around the farm and a few exotic chickens that would show up from time to time. Since he was a young boy Arnie was always fond of trains. When traveling he would always take the route that would take him closest to trains. Arnie was also an avid pitch and pinochle player and had a sweet tooth for all sorts of candy. He is survived by his sister, Aileen Zeleski of Loup City, NE; sister-in-law, Betty Grudzinski of Loup City and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his three brothers, Zigmund, Lloyd and Eugene and one sister, Delores St. Louis. Courtesy of Higgins Funeral Home-
