John Oatman Blakeslee, born October 14, 1922, in Austin, Texas, passed away Saturday, August 7, 1999, in Garland, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Lucile Blakeslee, brother, Travis Blakeslee, and sister, Mary Francis Hamner. John attended Missoula State University in Montana while serving in the United States Air Force during World War II. He was owner of Empire Excavating Company in Dallas and a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. Survivors are his wife of 54 years, Georgia Blakeslee, and numerous nieces and nephews.
