Bio
Jo Ann Johnson Townley, of Crossett, died Dec. 12, 2016 at Stonegate Villa Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born June 5, 1933 in Crossett and was a homemaker and member of Jarvis Chapel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Mary Francis Davis Johnson; her husband, Belton "Dugan" Townley; one son, Jack David Townley; three brothers, Bert Johnson, Tommy Johnson and Harold Ray Johnson; and one sister, Margie Russell. Survivors include two sons, Ricky Townley and Randy Townley (Luanne), both of Crossett; one daughter, Kimberly Stratton (Joe) of El Dorado; three brothers, Johnny Mack Johnson of Crossett, David Johnson of Little Rock, and Jimmy Johnson of Bryant; nine grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15 at Jarvis Chapel Baptist Church with Bro. Ray Hearron officiating. Burial followed in Crossroads Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett.
