UNMARKED GRAVE ---------------------------------------- Funeral Services For W. C. Woolery Former Resident of Ord Dies In Ericson; Rev. Mouer in Charge of Services Here Funeral services were held Monday afternoon for W. C. Woolery former Ord resident, father of Ernest Woolery. They were in charge of Rev. J. R. Mouer, at the Methodist church where number of friends and old acquaintances paid their last respects. W. C. Woolery was born in Lyma, Ohio, on Dec. 6, 1854, and died July 20, 1928 at the age of 73 years, 7 months and 14 days. At the age of sixteen he came to Iowa with his parents, remaining there for several years. After that his home was in Ord until about ten years ago when he moved to Springfield, Mo., residing there until a short time before his death. In August, 1876, he married Miss Nancy Catherine Lewis, eight children being born to them. Three of these children Millie M., Dana K., and Ida Woolery-Smith preceded him in death. Mrs. Woolery passed away in August 1918. Mr. Woolery moved to Missouri after his wife's death, and in August 1919 was united in marriage to Mrs. Carrie B. Seely. A member of the Baptist church, Mr. Woolery served as deacon for a number of years. Prosperous in his business, esteemed by all his friends and neighbors, his life was long and happy. He leaves to mourn his wife, Mrs. Carrie B. Woolery of Springfield, Mo., Three son, Charles C. of Ericson, Nebr., John H. of Chicago; and Ernest T. of Ord, two daughters, Mrs. Mae Murdock of Omaha, and Mrs. Rilla M. Eicher of Morrill, Nebr. Also three brothers, one sister, 22 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, as well as a host of friends. The Ord Quiz - Thur, July 26 1928, Pg 1, Col 2
