Bio

At the age of 28 in 1857 Robert purchased 80 acres of land in Columbia, Arkansas. In 1860 he made 2 more land purchases of 80 acres each. By the end of 1860 at the age of 31 he owned 240 acres of land in Columbia County, Arkansas. Sometime late in 1860 or early 1861 he married Elizabeth Ann Formby. Robert joined the 33rd Arkansas Infantry Company A as a Sergeant in the Confederate Army. In February on 1862 he was mortally wounded and died on 24 February 1862 in the Waynesville Hospital. It is unknown where Robert was buried.
